A wonderful pair of vintage 18K gold ruby cabochon earrings, designed as dimensional daisies with the sweetest heart-shaped petals. Each flower centres around a vivid round ruby cabochon in a decorative star-like setting, beautifully contrasted against the warmth of the high-karat yellow gold. An incredibly unusual design (I have been unable to find another comparable pair) with natural ruby cabochons being an especially desirable and valuable choice of gemstone. Likely dating to the mid-to-late 20th century, with a partially legible maker’s mark that remains unidentified.
